Welcome to the Helwith Bridge Fly Fishing site. Helwith Bridge Fly Fishery is located in the Yorkshire Dales close to the villages of Ingleton and Settle, just off the A65.

Fly Fishing Details
The lake is 30ft deep, covers 4.5 acres and is spring fed, so the water is crystal clear and is in quiet, tranquil surroundings.
The fly fishery is in a stunning location with excellent views of Pen-y-ghent and the surrounding Yorkshire Dales.
The lake is well stocked with triploid trout, blue trout, golden trout and rainbow trout. The fish can weigh between 2lb and 14lb.
The local fly life includes: hawthorns, daddies, damsels, blue flies, red flies and sedges.
The site has the following facilities:
- On site parking close to the road and the lake.
- A fishing hut, with a wood burner and cooker for brewing up on.
- Flys available for sale.
- A toilet.
- Helwith Bridge Inn serving tasty, good value food 5 mins walk away (voted Pub of the Season 2005 by CAMRA).
- 4 life buoys

Fly Fishing Tuition/ Fly Fishing Courses
Fly fishing instruction is available by arrangement. The tutor David Oversby draws upon many years of experience in fly fishing in the Yorkshire Dales. The lessons can include fly casting techniques, both overhead with the trout rod and spey casting with a salmon rod as well as the double spey cast off the right and left shoulder. See Tuition.
Fly Fishing Accommodation
There are plenty of bed and breakfasts, self catering facilities, hotels, hostels and bunk houses available in the Ingleton and Settle area, if you want to make a holiday or short break stop. Fly Fishing Group Events
Group days out can be organised for which we can provide a buffet lunch of delicious filled baguettes and locally reknowned home made scones.

Fly fishing Tip
The fish will come up from the depths to take a dry or buzzer. It is good buzzer water.
